CATA Summer Service will go into Effect on April 29th, 2024
CATA Summer Service
CATA will introduce several changes to its scheduled fixed route for the summer service period from April 29th to August 21st, 2024. These changes will improve frequency as well as the addition of a trial route and a summer community route.

N, V, and R CATABUS Routes
During weekdays, the frequency on the N, V, and R routes will improve from every 40 minutes to every 30 minutes, with a service change on the R route now serving Stratford Dr. and CATO Park.
VN Trial Route
CATA will also be introducing a new trial route, the VN, which will serve Downtown State College (Beaver Ave), the Bryce Jordan Center, Toftrees, Vairo, North Atherton, Colonnade, Martin, and the Heights on Sundays with a frequency of every 35 minutes. The VN will be filling in stops on the V and H that previously had no Sunday service, and supplementing the NV route.
New Summer Community Route
CATA is launching a new Summer Community bus route on May 6th, 2024, which will take passengers to popular locations such as the Welch Pool, 2000 Degrees, and The State Theater on West College Avenue. This service is aimed at youths and the community who want to explore the Centre Region and make the most of their summer.
