Purchasing used CATA equipment

CATA disposes of all assets through public auction.  Listings are posted on the Public Surplus website as the need arises, and items run the gamut.  Examples of things sold in the past include office products/furniture, shop equipment, building supplies, used vans or maybe even 40-foot buses.

You can watch for listings at www.publicsurplus.com and utilize the section on the right titled “Browse auctions within area” (Select Region = Pennsylvania / Select Agency = Centre Area Transportation Authority). Then choose “View All Auctions for Centre Area Transportation Authority,” or chose a category on the right-hand side under the CATA logo.
