CATA 2025 Food Drive is Underway

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) has officially launched its annual holiday food drive, running through December 15, 2025.

Donation boxes are available on all CATABUS, CATAGO, and CATARIDE vehicles, as well as at our downtown customer service center, making it easy for riders and community members to contribute canned goods, non-perishable food items, and hygiene products.

This year’s drive comes at a time of increased need. With the recent disruption to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, local food banks are experiencing higher demand than usual. Your donations will directly support the State College Food Bank and Lion’s Pantry, helping individuals and families right here in our community.

How to Donate

• Place canned or non-perishable food items in the marked boxes on any CATA vehicle.
• Or drop off donations at our customer service center in downtown State College, located at 108 E. Beaver Ave., Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Last Year’s Impact

Thanks to the generosity of our riders, over 1,400 pounds of food were collected during last year’s drive. Let’s see if we can top that in 2025!
