Extended Service for First Night State College
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is gearing up to join the excitement at this year’s First Night State College, a New Year’s Eve celebration that’s been bringing art, music, and community spirit to downtown since 1994.
To help residents and visitors enjoy the festivities safely and comfortably, CATA will offer extended service hours and free treats during the event:
Extended Blue & White Loop Service
- Blue Loop service will run until 12:30 A.M.
- A special White Loop service will operate from 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM
These extended hours make it easier to travel around downtown during the celebration.
Complimentary Hot Chocolate & Treats
CATA staff will be handing out free hot chocolate and snacks at the Customer Service Center, located at 108 E. Beaver Ave, until 10:00 PM.
First Night State College features more than 90 ice sculptures, live performances, a 5K Resolution Run, and family-friendly activities throughout downtown. CATA encourages everyone to take advantage of public transit and enjoy the celebration responsibly.
