CATA Summer Service will go into effect on May 12th, 2025
CATA will introduce two new trial routes to its scheduled fixed route for the summer service period from May 12th to August 17th, 2025. As a reminder, during this timeframe, CATA is running on reduced summer service. Please see CATA's service calendar found here.

UP; University Parkway Route
This route provides a counterclockwise circulator service Monday-Saturday at a 32-minute frequency. This route offers access to a number of key community destinations, such as Downtown State College, Westerly Parkway Plaza, the Retreat, the Social Security Office, Easterly Pkwy Elementary, and Penn State Campus.
This is a trial route for summer 2025.
HV Route
The route will operate all day on Sunday, and on other days between 10p and midnight.
This route complements the NV route during these times and provides access to otherwise underserved stops.
Monday-Saturday late nights, this route will operate along N Atherton St. and Burrowes Rd., providing transit service at 6 new stops and direct walking access from PSU West Campus.
On Sundays only, this route will offer service from the Heights and to the Colonnades.
