CATA has hosted a public hearing on proposed fall 2025/26 service changes on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Downsbrough Community Room at the Schlow Centre Region Library (211 S. Allen Street, State College).
If approved, the proposed 2025/26 Fall Service changes would go into effect on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Updated Red Link Route
Red Link will increase peak frequency to every 12 minutes from Monday to Tuesday during CATA Full Service.

Expansion of all CATAGO! Zones
CATAGO! will expand its on-demand microtransit service across all three zones to reach the outer township lines. With the proposed expansion, all contracted municipalities will have access to both CATABus and CATAGO!.

The Discontinuation of the Bellefonte/Benner B-Line, Operated by CATA
Due to the withdrawal of Bellefonte Borough and Benner Township from CATA’s services, the current Bellefonte/Benner B-Line service contract with CATA will expire on June 30th, 2025. Centre County Transportation Services will fill the gap in these areas starting July 1st, 2025. The county transportation office provides free transportation for residents aged 60 and older and charges $4.25 per trip for individuals with disabilities or those receiving medical assistance. All other riders within the Bellefonte Borough will be charged a $5.00 per ride fee. Riders will need to reserve trips by 2 p.m. the day prior to travel, and trips will be shared with other passengers, similar to a carpool system. Bellefonte/Benner B-Line passengers can also coordinate with CATACommute Van pool.
· Available for commuters starting or ending in the greater State College area.
· Eligible vanpools can receive up to $600 monthly subsidy per vehicle from CATA.
