FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) has launched a real-time tracking feature for the CATAArt bus, giving community members and visitors an easy way to find the bus and experience the artwork firsthand.

The CATAArt bus is a mobile art piece showcasing the winning artwork from the 2026 CATAArt Contest held earlier this year. Centered around this year's theme, "Connecting Our Community," the contest invited elementary students to reflect on the role transit plays in bringing together people, places, and ideas together.

“We've heard from many people in the community that spotting the CATAArt bus brings them joy as it travels around the region,” said Todd Horsley, CATA CEO. “We’re happy to make it easier to find with this new tracking feature.”

The new tracking feature arrives at the perfect time, as thousands of visitors and art lovers come to the region for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and the People’s Choice Festival.
