Hockey Game Day Bus Detours Saturday, January 31

Penn State Hockey takes on Michigan State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, January 31. Expect traffic and transit detours throughout campus during game day. Please review the following changes to CATA service:

Blue Loop

  • No service between McCoy Natatorium (#148) and Nittany Community Center (#159).
  • Temporary stop at Bigler Rd / Computer Building.
  • Normal routing resumes at 7:00 PM

White Loop

  • After Meridian, bus detours via University Dr → Hastings Rd → Bigler Rd → Curtin Rd, then resumes normal route.
  • Lot 83 (#152) will not be serviced.
  • Normal routing resumes at 7:00 PM

Red Link

  • Toward Medlar Field: Detours via Curtin Rd → Bigler Rd → Eisenhower Rd → Shortlidge Rd → Curtin Rd, then resumes normal route.
  • Last stop: Bigler Rd / Computer Building (#53).
  • No service at Curtin Hall (#155), McCoy Natatorium (#148), and all stops north.
  • Normal routing resumes at 7:00 PM

H Toftrees

  • No service between East Halls (Curtin Hall #155 / McCoy Natatorium #148) and Toftrees Ave / Alma Mater Dr (#890).
  • Service begins/ends at The View in Toftrees.
  • Runs express:
    • Campus → Trader Joe’s Plaza (#497)
    • 1870 N Atherton St (#498) → Campus
  • First campus stop: Pattee Transit Center (#4); last: Walker Bldg (#285).
  • Check detour timetable and map before riding.
