Winning Student Art to Debut on CATA Bus on April 28

CATAArt Poster Contest 1x1 SIMPLE

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) will celebrate local student creativity with the unveiling of its CATAArt Poster Contest bus at a public debut event on Tuesday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. at State College Area High School.

The CATAArt Poster Contest invited students Kindergarten through 5th grade to submit original artwork inspired by by the contest's theme "Connecting Our Community." Winners from each grade level will be incorporated into a full bus wrap, offering a unique opportunity for student art to travel throughout the region all summer long.

The bus wrap was made possible through a partnership with the State College Borough. The April 28 debut event will feature remarks from State College Mayor Ezra Nanes, CATA CEO Todd Horsley, and Danielle Crowe of the State College Area School District art department.

Community members, students, and families are encouraged to attend the event to support young artists and see the winning design brought to life on a CATA bus.

Thank You to Our Partners

CATA extends its thanks to State College Borough for its support in bringing the bus wrap to life, as well as to Discovery Space and Centre Elite Gymnastics for generously donating prizes for contest winners.
