CATAGO! Service Expansion
CATAGO! is launching a new pilot program that will extend micro-transit service farther than ever before—reaching the outer edges of our member municipalities and providing more riders with convenient, flexible transportation. These new services will be available starting January 12, 2026.
Updated Service Zones
Our current service areas will keep the same boundaries but receive updated names:
- Centre Area North (Houserville / Lemont)
- Centre Area East (Boalsburg)
- Centre Area West
Surrounding each of these will be brand-new Expansion Zones, shown on the map as:
- Centre Area North Expansion
- Centre Area East Expansion
- Centre Area West Expansion
How Expansion Zones Work
The new Expansion Zones will operate on a pre-booking only basis.
- Trips must be booked by 5:00 p.m. the day before
- You can schedule rides up to 14 days in advance
What Does This Mean for Riders?
If you ride within the inner zones:
- No changes at all
- On-demand and pre-booking options remain
- Fare stays $2.50 per trip
If you’re traveling to or from an expansion zone:
All trips must be pre-booked, including:
- Inner zone ➜ Expansion zone
- Expansion zone ➜ Inner zone
- Expansion zone ➜ Within the same expansion zone
- Pricing remains $2.50 per trip
