CATA to Host Accessible Transportation Fair June 18 at Nittany Mall
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) will host the annual Centre County Accessible Transportation Fair on Thursday, June 18, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Nittany Mall in State College. The event is free and open to the public.
The fair connects residents directly with transportation services that support independence and everyday mobility. Attendees can speak one-on-one with service providers, explore buses and paratransit vehicles, and get straightforward answers about
eligibility, scheduling, and trip planning. Exhibitors will include CATA, Penn State Transportation Services, MTM Transit, and the Centre County Office of Transportation.
The event is designed to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and anyone navigating local transportation options, including CATA's CATAGO! and CATARIDE
programs.
“Transportation access is an essential component of CATA’s service vision,” said Todd Horsley, Chief Executive Officer of CATA. “We know that for many community members, these services determine whether they can get to work, see a doctor, and continue to be an active participant in their community. By showcasing our services together in one place, the Accessible Transportation Fair helps us connect with riders and make sure the community understands the mobility options available to them.”
“What’s great about this transportation fair is that every year, our staff meets new people who need these services, and we’re able to show them what’s possible with CATA,” said Kimberly Clark, CATA's ADA/On-Demand Programs Coordinator. “No appointments. No paperwork. Just come and ask.”
