CATA will Run on Reduced Service Over the Holiday Season

CATA will operate on a reduced service schedule during the holiday season from December 16 through January 12th.

The reduced service lite schedule will begin on December 16 and last until December 22, after which it will transition to a full reduced service schedule.

During the reduced service lite period, the community service routes will operate as usual, except for the express routes (HU, NE, RC, VE, and WE), which will not be in service. The campus service entails the Blue Loop operating from Monday to Friday, with limited service on Saturday and no campus service on Sunday. The White Loop and Red Link services will NOT be available. All other services will operate as usual.

CATA will implement a reduced service schedule starting December 23 and continuing until January 12. During this time, the N, V, and R routes will operate with increased frequency. This year, CATA will maintain regular community route services during the week of Christmas, except on Christmas Day when services will be closed. This provides more options for your holiday travel and last-minute shopping needs! The Blue Loop will continue to operate Monday through Friday, with limited service on Saturdays and no service on Sundays. The White Loop and Red Link services will remain unavailable during this period. While community service routes will be operating normally, express routes (HU, NE, RC, VE, and WE) will not be in service. All other services will continue to operate as usual.

Please note that CATA services will end at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, and there will be no service on Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Services will resume on a reduced schedule on Thursday, December 26. Additionally, there will be no service Wednesday, January 1, observance of New Year’s Day.
