I.††††††††† CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Spychalski called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.

††††††††††† Cindy Zerbe provided introductory remarks and announced that the next contract for paratransit services had been awarded to the current contractor, Ride Right, LLC.

Wendy Baker, Halfmoon Township: commented that based on a physicianís positive response to the question on the CATARIDE ADA application regarding whether her daughter could stand at a bus stop, her daughter was denied service.Ms. Baker requested that CATA reconsider how ADA applicants for CATARIDE service are evaluated.

Annie Harris, State College: commented that she wonít ride the CATARIDE service because she believes it is unsafe; inquired as to whether email communication to schedule use of the CATARIDE service was an option.

Josie Kantner- Smith, State College: commented on appreciation and approval of the CATARIDE service, which she has been using since 1998; she also reported that the new Ecolane software regularly creates inefficient and lengthy trips, that drivers override by calling into dispatch.

Anthony Daltrui, State College: commented that in order to assist drivers whose trip schedule is full he would be willing to be called for an earlier pick up than scheduled; he also suggested that CATA reconsider the rule that ADA passengers may only be accompanied by one child per trip.

Michelle McManus, State College: commented that Ride Right dispatchers should inform passengers of issues affecting pick-up times so that they donít have to wait in the cold.

John Egan, State College: commented on his approval and appreciation of the CATARIDE service; that during periods of high demand the Ecolane software can create inefficient and lengthy trips; questioned whether the onboard cameras create a privacy issue, and suggested that notices be placed on each CATARIDE vehicle regarding the presence of the audio and video recording devices.

Candace Dannaker, State College: inquired, on behalf of the League of Women Voters, whether CATARIDE could be used to provide transportation to anyone who needed it to get to the polls to vote on Election Day in November, 2016.

Clark Meacham, State College: commented in support of Ms. Harris.

††††††††††† Chairman Spychalski adjourned the meeting at 5:47 p.m.
